ATAYU: jersey to show off 90 Varas

ATAYU is a knitting pattern designed by Belén Fernández (@tejereningles) and knitted with our 90 Varas yarn. 90 Varas Wool: Origin, Body and Memory

ATAYU is knitted with 90 Varas, a 100% Spanish transhumant merino wool, sourced from flocks that still travel the ancient drove roads following the rhythm of the seasons. Flocks that move, that graze, that care for the land without even knowing it, simply because it is their way of life.

Its name is a direct nod to those historic routes that for centuries connected land, livestock, and craftsmanship. And its production method maintains that same logic: respecting the rhythm of the animal, the fiber, and the work done well.

It's spun from two plies, which gives it structure, definition, and strength. When knitting, the stitches settle clearly, the fabric gains consistency row by row, and the garment begins to take shape from the very start. It's a wool with presence, yet comfortable; with character, yet easy to wear. And, like wools that come from afar, it improves with time and use.

The 25-color melange palette is designed to be mixed, tested, and used to find combinations that work effortlessly.
