territory and heritage
Our flocks
Herds don't just produce wool.
Their active presence has a direct impact on the territory, on natural balances, and on the way the landscape is inhabited.
Understanding wool involves understanding the role that herds play in the ecosystems they traverse.

positive impact
local wool
We work with local flocks that practice extensive and transhumant grazing.
Many of them are linked to endangered breeds and play an active role in protecting the territory.
The wool we work with is the direct result of this continuous relationship between animals, people and landscape.

the office of shepherd
Grazing does not exist without the people who make it possible.
The profession of shepherd is a knowledge built over time, based on observation of the territory, care of the flock and a constant relationship with the animals and the environment.
Today, this craft is in danger of disappearing. The lack of generational succession and the declining value of wool threaten a skill that cannot be replaced or automated.

animal welfare
tending the flock
The well-being of the flock is not only guaranteed with isolated protocols, but with a daily relationship based on knowledge and care.
The shepherd knows his animals, their rhythms, and their needs, and adapts grazing to each moment and each environment. This constant attention results in healthy animals, higher quality wool, and a system that works in the long term.
In this context, aggressive practices like mulesing have no place. Herd management is based on prevention and knowledge of the animal.

THE IMPACT OF GRAZING
Active grazing is not just a productive activity.
It contributes to the maintenance of living soils, the prevention of fires and the conservation of open landscapes.
The presence of the flocks maintains balances that disappear when grazing is interrupted.
Two models, two impacts
Choosing between synthetic fibers or natural and renewable fibers like wool implies supporting very different models.
Synthetic fibers depend on extractive systems disconnected from the territory, while wool activates living cycles that regenerate through grazing and continuous care of the flocks.

SHEEP BREED ASSOCIATIONS
WE ARE ENDORSED BY

We work directly with farmers, building relationships based on trust, continuity and fair compensation.
This proximity allows us to value wool not as waste, but as a raw material with a real impact on the territory and those who inhabit it.
"It's very easy to communicate with people who understand the day-to-day lives of farmers. In addition to the production process, they help us build a network that will help sustain the rural world."
Aina Cañellas, President of the Association of Breeders of the Mallorcan Red Sheep.
"Wooldreamers is a commitment to the primary sector, which helps and values the shepherd, and also provides you with an income. This hadn't even happened in our wildest dreams."
Ramón Sanfélix, President ANGUIRRA
