Once the wool is sheared and selected,this wool is washed and opened in a completely biodegradable way, thus reducing the amount of plant matter and excess lanolin present in raw wool. You will obtain a silky and fluffy product with which you can carry out countless projects, such as stuffing, carding, felting, and spinning.
Our 100% native Spanish medium-fine merino wool has been selected from extensive, transhumant flocks. It comes from a Spanish cooperative with animal welfare certification. The wool from Merino and Entrefina sheep in the Dehesas of Ciudad Real and Extremadura has its own history, as traditions remain unchanged. Every year, at the beginning of spring, the sheep are carefully sheared to prepare them for the long transhumance journey along ancient drove roads, heading towards the cooler, more pasture-rich areas of northern Spain where they will spend the warmest summer months. Once summer is over, the sheep will make the same journey back to their place of origin, where they will spend the entire winter until the following spring.
Not forgetting that our wools are completely ecological in accordance with the standard Oeko-Tex Standard 100. In other words, no chemical additives or colorants are used during the entire production process.
