The Summerwood Tee is a lightweight, airy, and soft top, featuring a delicate lace motif that evokes lush trees and sun-drenched meadows in the height of summer. The body is worked from the bottom up with an allover lace pattern, which can also be worked only on the front. The short sleeves are knit separately in stockinette stitch and then seamlessly joined to the body.
The yoke, shaped with raglan decreases, continues the lace motif across the front and back. Decorative raglan lines feature a ribbed detail that mirrors the hem and neckline, creating a smooth transition between body and sleeves. The neckline and shoulders are shaped using German short rows and finished with 1×1 ribbing and an Italian bind-off. Every minimalist detail is designed to complement the lace, resulting in a fresh and harmonious look.
Inspired by long, carefree summer days, this tee offers a relaxing and enjoyable knitting experience thanks to its easy-to-memorize lace pattern. Whether you’re by the sea or in your garden, knitting the Summerwood Tee becomes a peaceful escape, evoking the warmth of the sun and the nostalgia of simpler times.
The Summerwood Tee was designed for Saona by Wooldreamers, shown in the color Groen. Saona is a lightweight and sustainable fingering-weight blend of Andalusian cotton and Merino wool from the Manchega and Entrefino breeds—ideal for summer garments thanks to its softness and breathability.
