SOLUTION: REGENERATIVE LIVESTOCK

We advocate for soil regeneration, a solution that many experts consider essential in combating global warming and climate change. It goes beyond carbon emissions reduction; it involves compensating for all emissions through a perfect machine invented thousands of years ago: nature.

Through extensive, transhumant, and regenerative management, our flocks play a crucial role in this system.
The collaborating sheep of Wooldreamers:

  • They reduce the risk of wildfires.
  • They fertilize and nourish our lands, preventing desertification.
  • They preserve natural infrastructure.
  • They promote the spread of insects essential for plant pollination.

We understand that creating a sustainable environment relies not only on the flocks but also on our commitment to more environmentally friendly production.

Over the years, we've worked towards a more sustainable and eco-conscious approach.Currently, over 60% of our energy sources are renewable or self- consumption-based, and all our processes are certified under GOTS and OEKO-TEX standards.

Moreover, with over 90% of production processes taking place in our village and many of our collaborating flocks located within 100km, we are able to create one of the most localized, centralized, and low CO2 emission yarns.

ZERO WASTE

Our commitment is resolute towards wool as a biodegradable and renewable fiber. This approach curbs the consumption of petroleum-derived plastic fibers and combats the pollution of plastic microfibers plaguing our oceans.

We understand the importance of remaining vigilant, especially in these matters. We're constantly researching and working on valorizing byproducts from the wool process, finding sustainable ways to incorporate them into our environment: fertilizers, mulches, soaps, and more.
