Description
“Nuestros viajes a Saona” as Ramón (father) writes on the labels means “Our trips to Saona”and are words full of family memories.
Saona is the name of the river where my grandfather Julián and his sons Teodoro and Ramón used to go with their cart drawn by mules and full of woolen fleeces. There, they spent the days while they washed the wool and left it ready to later dry it, card it, spin it, and weave the blankets.
A tribute to our previous generations that comes in the form of a collection with a yarn full of nuances both in its texture and in its tones.
The colors in this collection have been designed in collaboration with Hailey Smedley (@Ozetta). She and her work, like our project, also comes from the family tradition, rooted in love for her grandmother who taught her to knit.
